Nonviolent Communication (NVC): A Path to Mindful Connection
NVC, based on India's model for nonviolent living known as "Ahimsa," holds the profound principle of "Do no harm." This approach, developed by Marshall B. Rosenberg, represents a shift away from reactive and judgmental responses towards building genuine connections and trust in relationships. By recognizing the underlying needs behind our own actions and those of others, we can cultivate mindful communication that prioritizes curiosity, care, and connection.
“Every action is an attempt to meet a need.”
- Marshall B. Rosenberg
